Welcome to City Dogs Rescue's Pie Page

Buy a Thanksgiving Pie, Double Your Donation!

WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?  Friendship Hospital for Animals has generously offered to match the dollar amount of every pie that City Dogs Rescue supporters sell on behalf of the charity Food & Friends - up to $25,000! Whenever a CDR supporter uses our special link to place an order for a Thanksgiving pie (apple, pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato, and amaretto brownie), CDR will receive free vet care in the equivalent dollar amount from Friendship Hospital!

Our special pie link in the "Slice of Life" campaign is: http://bit.ly/CDR-Pies2016.

IT IS A "WIN, WIN, WIN" BECAUSE YOUR DONATION IS DOUBLED (AND YOU GET A PIE)!    Through a special matching program, for every $28 Thanksgiving pie you purchase - $28 goes to the charity Food & Friends and City Dogs Rescue receives $28 worth of vet care credits. (If you don't need a pie or are outside of the DC area, you can easily donate a pie to a Food & Friends client on the form).   Please remember that you must use our special link in the "Slice of Life" campaign for the matching to apply:  http://bit.ly/CDR-Pies2016.

Purchasers can pick up their pies at 30 different location in the metro DC/MD/VA area on Nov. 22., Noon - 8PM.

Why Are Pies So Important to Us?

In 2015, CDR spent $393,000 in medical care for our rescue dogs.  We did it because we want our rescue dogs to have the best chance of having a great life after all they have been through.  Fortunately, we have an opportunity to raise $25,000 in free vet care at Friendship Hospital by selling Thanksgiving pies.  Our goal is to sell 550 pies.   We would greatly appreciate your support and so do our rescue dogs!
