Fostering a Cat
As we bring cats into D.C., we need fosters to commit to providing them with loving homes while they search for their forever families. By fostering a cat, you are enabling City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue to pull an animal from a high-kill shelter. All cats need is a soft place to nap, food and water, and maybe even a catnip toy! Would you consider being a temporary resting place for these sweet cats?
As a foster parent, you provide a home, food, bed and TLC. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue pays for all pre-approved vet care and provides you with a collar and other supplies, if needed, when you foster a cat. Your foster cat provides purrs, playfulness, and naps! Please note that we are currently requesting that all cat fosters be willing to keep their cats until adoption. If you have travel plans, let us know and we can make appropriate arrangements. Important information to know before applying:
