Note that our dogs are fostered at multiple locations throughout the DC area. Applicants must first fill out an Adoption Application before appointments are made to meet any dogs.

If you would like to notify us about an urgent dog at a particular shelter, please post on our Facebook Group as explained below. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US DIRECTLY WITH URGENT REQUESTS. WE USE OUR GENERAL ACCOUNT FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY AND SUCH REQUESTS HINDER OUR ABILITY TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS. To network an urgent dog, please click on FRIENDS OF ANIMALS NETWORKING GROUP and request to join this networking group. Once approved (usually occurs quickly), you will then be able to freely network urgent animals through this group. While we normally pull from our designated shelters, we do monitor this group and periodically pull animals that are networked on it. Since we can only pull a limited number of dogs from this group, we encourage you to invite your contacts at other rescues to join. The more contacts from other rescues who join is the more exposure the networked dogs will receive.
