Update on Lucky

5/31/2012

Remember Lucky? Well, today we have an update from this City Dogs alum, who was adopted in early May.

Lucky's new family shared this recent update with us:

"Lucky is a great dog and is adjusting well to her new life. Being a curious one, she spent the first few days sniffing around and exploring. She really likes this stuffed porcupine squeak toy we bought her and she carries it around and sleeps with it. We took her to the vet Saturday and she did great! She is such a unique color she gets all the attention. The vet said she is in great health and perfect weight. She received a booster for one of her shots, flea and tick, heart worm, and a new toothbrush. We take her back June 9 to start another series of shots and we are looking into some dog training at petsmart.
....
We love her to death and are so excited for our new life!"

Is your pup a City Dogs alum? Send us an update and we'll feature you here!

City Dogs Rescue is thrilled to announce that we have just adopted out our 50th dog since September 2011!  In honor of this truly exciting milestone, we have compiled a 4 minute video showing all 50 of the adopted dogs.   We hope that you will enjoy this video and share it with your friends and family.  This moment would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our volunteers, donors, fosters, adopters, dog walkers, community sponsors, and rescue partners.  Thank you!

Hershey is a 6 year old chocolate lab that City Dogs Rescue saved recently.  Unfortunately, he has heartworm because his previous owners did not give him the proper flea/tick prevention. A donation of $150 will help us pay for his heartworm treatment and ensure that he gets a new lease on life in DC. We will recognize our sponsors on our website and Facebook page. Please consider sponsoring this very sweet guy.
