- Event Team: This is an in-person volunteer opportunity to get involved with City Dogs City Kitties Rescue for special events! Events can include adoption events, Holiday Photoshoots, and general fundraisers. Tasks may include setting up or tearing down event set-up, handling animals, serving food, or helping maintaining crowd organization. - Medical Case Manager: This position is remote and requires a year-long commitment of roughly 10 hours a week. We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of cat or dog care who can help follow up on medical cases for our foster animals. Working this role results in 4-5 days of on-call a month to be responsive to medical emergencies, monitor the team inbox, call vet offices, and manage medical cases. Previous medical knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Gmail, ShelterLuv, Google Chat are not required, but preferred. If interested, Apply here.
- Application Counselor (specify cats or dogs): This position is remote and allows for flexible time-commitment (around 1-2 hours per application, amount of applications is up to you!). We have so many wonderful pets getting applications and need help processing all the background checks! This job requires corresponding with prospective adopters and fosters via email; checking personal, landlord, and vet references via phone or email; and conducting virtual home visits. We are looking for volunteers who are positive and professional with potential adopters, foster, and other rescue volunteers and staff. If interested, Apply here.
- Foster (specify cats or dogs): This position is in-person and requires a minimum of two weeks. We are in great need of people who can give a temporary yet loving home to some of our cats or dogs. City Dogs & Kitties Rescue pays for all pre-approved vetting during the foster period and provides basic supplies like a collar, harness, leash, crate, etc. Fosters go through a basic training and are matched with pets who will suit their home best.
