Thank you supporters for voting us Best of DC for a seventh year! None of this happens without our amazing volunteers and donors. Your endless dedication to our mission means the world to us and to all the lives you've saved.

We have an amazing network of volunteers, supporters, adopters, and donors who have enabled us to rescue and adopt out over 9,000 cats and dogs in just 9 years!

Readers say: "CD[CK] cares deeply about all of the animals that go through the rescue, going above and beyond to rescue dogs that would otherwise be euthanized, place them with families that are in it for the long haul, and offer support after adoption. Just this week I saw the entire CD[CK] community pull together to find a lost CD[CK] alum who ultimately was returned safe and sound." Thank you for this honor!
