Want to do an event with City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue?

We are open to new event ideas and welcome all event requests!

Because CDCK rescues dogs of all ages, we do not hold “puppy-only” events. Any events featuring adoptable dogs or AmbassaDogs will feature dogs of various ages.

Our Event Types

Adoption Events

CDCK’s adoption events are focused on showing off our adoptable dogs. These events are typically held in public, pet-friendly locations or virtually on our Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. We have previously had adoption events at restaurants, breweries, and bookstores. 

Each adoption event aims to have three to seven adoptable dogs and will provide information on adoptable cats. CDCK’s cats are featured more prominently in our virtual adoption events.

Community Events

CDCK’s community events are focused on spreading awareness in the community about our mission, our adoptable pets, and our volunteer opportunities. The rescue may be the sole vendor at an event or one of many. We have previously featured in community events like individual organizations’ fundraisers, street races, Awesome Con Comic Convention, and DC’s Pride events.

These events may have an AmbassaDog (a dog previously adopted from CDCK) or a few adoptable dogs.

Your Event

CDCK’s Headquarters in Logan’s Circle would love to host your event! Whether that be a pet’s birthday party, a photoshoot, or anything in between, we have a space designed with pets in mind for you! If you are interested in holding an event in our space, the more details the better. These events may have an AmbassaDog, or a few adoptable dogs if requested. 
 
Small fee for office use. Subject to office and staff/volunteer availability. CDCK reserves the right to deny any event request at its discretion due to safety or feasibility concerns.
