City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is providing care and rescue for over 1,000 dogs and cats a year. It is paramount to the shelters that rely on our help every day that we continue our efforts in saving lives so all these cats and dogs get a second chance at life that they deserve. Vet care, transportation, and other expenses can easily reach $600 per dog/cat. Fundraisers like this are of critical importance to saving lives. Since our establishment in 2011, we have found homes for over 10,000 dogs and cats and we’ve also gained a lot of fans along the way!​

Choose your favorite neighborhood business from our supporter’s list below and ask them for a donation or buy a gift certificate to donate to our auction. This tax-deductible good deed will not only support businesses, but also allows us to expand our auction offerings and raise more money to save dogs and cats. Gift certificates usually sell above their face value, meaning your donation of a gift card will generate even more life-saving funds than you might expect!

The City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue Online Auction showcases artists, restaurants, theaters, and neighborhood businesses from across the DC metropolitan area. From wine tasting in Virginia’s rolling hills to sessions with expert pet photographers, we hope you find new products and experiences you love, while helping to save dogs and cats from overcrowded and high-kill shelters. 

This auction is vital for us to have funds to help dogs and cats who are in dire need. A huge thank you to the generous donors and hard-working volunteers who contributed to this auction.
